I performed user research, created early vision stories and defined product requirements for IBM's first social software offering, IBM Connections. I was the lead designer for Profiles, Activites, Microblogging, and desktop app integration for Connections.
IBM released version 1 of Lotus Connections in the summer of 2007. It was the most successful new software product introduction in IBM's history, with $17 million in worldwide sales in less than six months. Lotus Connections also changed how IBM approached software development, moving away from the traditional "waterfall" method of project management to a more agile, iterative model.
